New Pattern Finished!

These socks are inspired by the unique blend of colors only found in the aptly named dye shop Spunky Eclectic, for Amy’s wares are both eclectic and spunky. The socks were so cozy, warm and fashionable that Magpie had to try them on. Check it out:

And of course, they pass the ultimate sock test.

Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to make it to the Grand Opening because of yet another additional school related event which required my presence. However I was able to come for Monday night spinning group, where I knit while Amy tried to convince me I wanted to spin aided by Scott who was flitting from wheel to wheel discussing various technical differences and using words I didn’t know, which served to remind me that I have no time to learn to spin or figure out what all the jargon means.

I have also been working on some jaywalkers by Grumperina in Spunky Eclectic skinny sock, colorway Dinah. Another eye catching collection of colors, and the zig zag stripes of the jaywalkers show off the different colors beautifully. Amy has a knack for putting together amazingly complimentary colors that you would not expect to go well and look good together, but when you see her  yarn, it looks awesome!
