Patti’s Patterns

At some point the internet stopped being a place for people to get something from and started being a place that people felt an inexplicable need to pour things into. Every sod who has a complaint about anything (present company included) suddenly had an attentive audience. Even more surprising is the number of people who will spend their time reading it (present company included). Why do people feel the need to complain all the time? More importantly, why are others compelled to read about it? Ask anybody you know if they would be willing to spend the next 20 minutes listening to you complain about the minute details of life that really don’t matter at all, 9 times out of 10, anybody will respond “No thanks.” However, take the same person, sit them at a desk without anything to do for a couple of hours...bam! Before they know it they have spent the last three hours reading about somebody else’s problems.
Of course, the irony about complaining about blogs that have people complaining on my blog has not escaped me. In fact it was quite intentional. While this blog was created to showcase my patterns and discuss my knitting, I also intend to force anyone interested in either to take with it my healthy dose of outrage at our fellow humanity. Please feel free to skip right over these pages to the pretty knitting pictures, discussions of merits of various fibers, colors and patterns, and of course the patterns, Patti’s Patterns. But if you ever find yourself sitting at a desk with nothing to do for a couple of hours... these are for you. And here is a treat, for those of you who hung in there till the bitter end: a pretty picture of some knitting. This is waterlilly yarn by Classic Elite. Isn’t the color variation beautiful?
