Battle of the soxes!

I have officially thrown my proverbial hat into the ring. I am down for the Battle of the Soxes coordinated by Chesley of The Knitting Experience Cafe. The rules work basically like any other assassin game. Back at Bates College, my alma mater, there used to be a group called the discordians who did silly things like go jumping in giant leaf piles in the quad and battle each other with foam covered weapons. Every year they would set up a campus wide version of assassin that required those playing to annihilate their target with nerf weaponry. This usually resulted in the campus being overrun with people carrying nerf weapons everyone, there were nerf stake outs, and surprise nerf attacks. Anywho, this game is very similar, however instead of nerf we have socks. To get rid of your target you must knit that person a pair of socks. The socks must follow the new pattern being designed specifically for the event by Amy King of Spunky Eclectic. I have my battle tactics all prepared, which involves rotating the sleep schedule, prepping the caffeine, and possibly debriefing the cat. So my posts might become even more intermittent than they have ben recently, as if that were even possible. But I am going into battle, its hard to know what to expect. If you would like to join me just check out the Battle post on Chesley’s blog, email her at the set up address, and prepare to be taken down!
