Take that!

Yup, thats right. I finished my first pair of battle of the soxes socks. You see I had a plan. I stayed up late Thursday night, I woke up early Friday morning, I went to bed Friday afternoon and slept from 4:30 to 10:30.  I then woke up, made a snack, made some coffee, and prepared to knit. I started my sock at 12:30. am At 12:35 am my cat threw up. At 12:45 he was sitting right across from me staring at me as if to stay “if you are going to be awake the least you could do is play with me!” Turns out he underestimated me, I can do way less than that. Not only did I not play with him, but I didn’t pet him, I didn’t let him chew on my needle cable, and I didn’t let him eat the tail from my first sock. At 5:00 am I finished my first sock. At 5:30 am I went to bed mainly because I was falling asleep at my needles. At 8:30 am I woke up again, and resumed knitting. At 9:15 the cat threw up again. At 1:15 pm I finished my second sock. At 1:30 pm I confirmed that my target was in fact not at The Knitting Experience, and headed straight for UPS, since the post office closed at 1:00 pm. I then proceeded  to The Knitting Experience where I spent the afternoon messing up my pomomomomotomus socks because I was so tired. I then tried unsuccessfully to get Sandy and me from TKE to EL Camino, a five minute ride, which took us at least 15 min. Again I blame lack of sleep, but those who know me will know I am no good with directions to begin with. At that point in the evening I knew I should set aside the knitting lest I make matters worse. I now await my target’s target, and in the mean time I will SLEEP!
