I am fairly certain Chesley knew exactly what she was doing when she decided to “orphan” a single skein of purple sock yarn while I was in the store. No sooner had said skein appeared in the clearance basket than it was swooped right out again by yours truly. I had been planning on finding a single skein to make into these footlets at some point, and voila there it was, in purple too just calling out my name. As you can see above this passes the infamous sock test: if it makes a good sock puppet then it is a good sock. Also with the completion of my third first sock in a row I was ready to get back to work on my killer monkeys. I started the second monkey last night, and am already at the heel, those monkeys are addictive... which means the monkey on my back is a monkey, weird.
