Mystery!

That is the mathematical truth of my mystery stole. At first I scoffed at the thought of knitting something when I would have no idea what it was. What if I didn’t like the finished project, all that time and yarn that could have been used to create a project I knew I loved would be wasted. Slowly, the more I heard about it the more intrigues I was. What does it look like? It has a theme, what will that be? I bet it will be nice... The straw that broke the camel’s back was the deadline to join. When on Friday I began to read about it, and then learned that if I had not signed up by midnight that night I would never be able to sign up for it, I knew I had to get on that site! How could I then resist? As I read the descriptions and recommendations for yarn I realized that the dark purple hempathy, a purple so dark it is almost black and can easily be mistaken for navy blue in dim light, would be perfect for this shawl, and didn’t I have some credit burning a hole in my proverbial pocket at The Knitting Experience? Before I knew it I was finished with the first clue, and ready to get going on the second, which is still in progress. I will be posting pictures and commentary on the project one clue at a time. For those of you who are also working on the mystery stole, if you do not want to see a picture of the latest clue do not visit my site until you have finished with it. I have warned you, so if a clue is spoiled for you, it’s your own fault, and you should learn to head warnings. Right now my guesses for the theme are possibly Greek, the surrounding border very much resembles the border often found on Greek pottery, another possibility I entertain is that it is a Tim Burton-ish design, something that Wynona Rider’s character in Beetlegeuse would wear, since it has those curly cue thingies. I reserve the right to reneg and completely alter my guesses at any time.
Here is clue #1 complete of the mystery stole 3 by pink lemon twist knit in dark purple hempathy.

Peer pressure + ultimatum = my demise (mystery stole 3)
